Kerri Kenyon began praying when she heard the news Oct. 29: Her sister, brother-in-law and their two grade-school children were stranded on Barrier Island directly in the path of Superstorm Sandy.
Kenyon was in Portland, Ore. a continent away, hoping the storm would not be the monster the news media suggested.
