The Lodi area has plenty of Baptist churches.

Among them are First, Temple, Lodi Avenue and New Hope Freewill in Lodi, Woodbridge Missionary and Grace Community Fellowship in Woodbridge, First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Lockeford and Clements Community Church. Besides that, Galt has First Baptist and Horizon Community churches, and Stockton has its share of Baptist churches.

Mr. Taylor stated Christian rock music is okay at home but not in church...how hypocritical. If it is not okay at church it is not okay at home...a home should be a reflection of the spirituaity at church not a double standard. As for the statement about no other independent baptist church in Lodi...just another inaccurate comment (a lie)

Conventional phrase or ignorant Christian denominations, believe what the Bible says, for the simple reason that the Bible does not say anything. You cannot put a book in the witness-box and ask it what it really means. The Fundamentalist controversy itself destroys Fundamentalism. The Bible by itself cannot be a basis of agreement when it is a cause of disagreement; it cannot be the common ground of Christians when some take it allegorically and some literally.

These fudamentaist are tryly out of their mind.

I find it sad that a man who 'reported' this is the religion editor for this newspaper...

Taylor is shrewd: "We report to Jesus Christ. He's the head of the church" No hierarchy to hold out their hand for their cut of his loot. Yes, everyone should hand their money to the man in the yellow shirt to make themselves feel "right" with "god". What a racket.

I wish they would stop littering their church fliers all over town. I'm sick of seeing their trash laying in gutters.
