The Buddhist Church of Lodi Annex will hold the second and third master's interpretation of Descending Buddhism from Shakyamuni Buddha (India) to Shinran Shonin (Japan) on Feb. 22. The seminar will open with Nirvana Day Service in the Hondo (Main Hall) at 9 a.m.
Class 1: Bodhisattva Vasubandhu, "Essence of Shinjin — I love Amida Buddha," will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; and Class 2: Master T'an-luan, "Even a donkey can fly in the sky," will be held from 1:15 to 3:30 p.m. The guest lecturer will be Kiyonobu Kuwahara, co-director of the Center for Buddhist Education.
