The Lodi Muslim Mosque is joining Muslims throughout the world in celebrating Ramadan, Islam's holy month, which started on Aug. 22.
Held annually during the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Ramadan is a time to read the Quran from cover to cover and to fast during daylight hours. That includes food, beverages and sex. In Lodi, that's from 5 a.m. to 7:50 p.m. daily.
