Mrs. (Gwin) Paden is a brilliant lady ... and Amen and God bless her. Thanks, also, to Mr. (Michael) Nedderman of Citrus Heights and Mr. (Bill) Stamos of Lodi for their refutation of Mr. David Diskin’s revisionist history and other errors. My dad would’ve said something like, “Smart guy, but all his brains have gone to his head.”

No one is forced, nor can be forced, to believe in God. We all have a free will, and each one of us will choose to believe — or not

That being said, it is written that all manner of sin and blasphemy is forgivable but one, and that one is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unbelief.

Once we’ve consciously and freely determined in our heart not to believe in Jesus Christ — i.e., freely and consciously chosen to reject Jesus Christ — we’ve said in our heart there is no Jehovah, and we’ve condemned ourselves to what that means and entails.

Scripture teaches, “The fool has said in his heart there is no Jehovah. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity — there is none that do good.”

Railing against belief and unbelief is fruitless. If you want to believe, do so. If not, don’t. Faith is a beautiful thing.

My dear old dad used to say, “You can lead unbelievers to the water, but you can’t make them think.”

Faith is a beautiful thing.
