I read the letter in Monday's paper from Suzanne Long regarding Ken Owen's opinion on homosexuality.

For your information, Mrs. Long, Christians must steer clear of tolerating the practice of homosexuality. We believe what the Bible teaches regarding this act. The Old Testament calls it an abomination, and those caught in the act were taken out and stoned.

I Corinthians 6:9 says fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, homosexuals, sodomites, thieves, covetous, drunkards, etc., will not inherit the kingdom of God. Those who do the will of the Father will. This act is against His will.

I also do not hate these people. I have known many people of this persuasion, and they were honest and hardworking. I do not condemn them for their act because the Bible already does. True Christians seek God and strive to serve him to the best of their ability, and like most of them, I am tired of this being pushed in my face as well.

The law is the law is the law. There are laws I don't like either, but as a Christian, I must follow them.

I hope that traditional marriage will be triumphant in the long run, and I hope somewhere along the way, these people will change. When God created man in the garden and saw it was not good for him to be alone, he did not create another man for him. He created a woman, a different gender, so that the two could become one and replenish the earth. This was God's will from the beginning.
