Grace Baptist Church of Woodbridge stands as a choice for those who seek deeper understanding of Scripture in a caring and supportive church family. Any believer who wants discipleship, teaching and evangelism as life tenets based on the inerrancy of the Scriptures now has another place to build an in-depth spiritual education alongside others in the Body of Christ.

All teaching and study comes straight from the Bible rather than study books or videos, allowing all attending greater involvement. One outstanding scriptural-based book a year is chosen for the congregation to read, and elders are available to explain the scriptural tenets used by that author. All teaching utilizes Old and New Testaments to present the three basic tenets to everyone who will hear greater life application of the teaching of Christ. All wanting in-depth study are invited to the Bible study at 6 p.m. Thursday evenings.

Sunday at 10 a.m., coffee and other refreshments are served. Each month, the Men’s Ministry has a breakfast and the Women’s Ministry has a dinner in addition to separate annual retreats. Regular celebration potlucks, picnics and parties allow fellowship together as believers throughout the year.

Sunday School is for preschool through adult retirees, including special classes with Senior Pastor David Garner for new members and new believers. Garner also leads the prayer team with prayer cards and a 911 prayer chain for those requiring immediate intercession from God. The Sunday School Ministry staff consists of education professionals providing everyone meaningful and continuing spiritual education for their lives. A cozy nursery provides grandmotherly care for family, infants and toddlers during the Sunday morning activities.

The music ministry provides each Sunday service with a prelude of gospel or popular Christian music, including a mix of standard hymns, popular Christian music and special music soloist or groups. Associate Pastor Dale Hughes directs the praise team, coordinating and leading all in the worship music.

GBC supports missionaries and mission groups who embrace the three tenets. The church hosts teaching missionaries, allowing all to fellowship with and learn from those they support serving in the mission field. Additionally, GBC hosts both local and traveling guest pastors at the worship pulpit.

GBC is located at 1022 S. Augusta St. in Woodbridge, one block west of Lower Sacramento Road. The church office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The phone number is 209-369-1226.
