Cornerstone Church in Lodi just returned from a life changing and productive five-day mission trip to Vincente Guerrero, Mexico, where our team had the opportunity to build an art school for underprivileged children.

We visited and brought desperately needed items to a senior care home, women and children’s shelter and a children’s day care where children are fed, taught reading, writing, math and about the Lord daily. In addition, we participated in a community outreach feeding where we were able to feed well over 50 people, teach the children about Jesus, play, laugh and sing with them.

The Lord led us to several families that we were given the chance to share God’s word with and witness many people giving their lives to Him.

We want to take a moment to thank God as well as those of you locally who helped make this year’s mission trip such an enormous success. We are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for the next year’s trip back to Vincente Guerrero, Mexico. Thank you.

We will be having a fundraising garage sale on Nov. 9 at 300 Evergreen Drive in Lodi to help raise money for a family we met that does so much for their community in Vincente Guerrero. Their hot water tank and water pump are broken at their home. They are in great need. The cost to replace both is $450. The average income in that area is about $10.50 per day. Please stop by and see what treasures you won’t be able to live without, and help this family in need.
