In the compromise of the U.S. and the Catholic church (the two bulwarks of Western civilization), there are significant relationships. One is Saul Alinsky, responsible for the radicalization of Hillary Clinton and other “change” agents.
In 1996, the Wanderer — America’s oldest Catholic weekly newspaper — published “The Legacy of CHD,” a critique of the U.S. Bishops’ Campaign for Human Development.
More than $200 million of Catholic money was directed to Alinsky’s radical Marxism. Masquerading for the poor, CHD created groups that pressured politicians to trade federal, state and local taxpayer money for votes.
It reminds one of public education. It is bad enough that millions disappear down the rat hole. But the money is then funneled to the enemy to combat truth (witness the attacks on the two-thirds bond safeguard).
Chicago’s CHD merged religion, psychology, labor and politics — Carl Rogers, Martin Luther King, Cesar Chavez, Cardinals Bernardin and Mahony, Archbishop Deardon, etc. This compromising social gospel (“Judas Complex,” explained by Father Malachi Martin) goes back to the pre-pope days of John XXIII and his worker-priest socialist involvement.
You ask, “Why would Cardinal Bernardin associate with Saul Alinsky, who dedicated a book to Lucifer?” I ask, “Why would he pre-arrange Chicago’s leading homosexual choir, the Windy Gay Chorus, to perform before his funeral wake?”
Humanism, the glorification of man above the Most Holy Triune God. Please don’t confuse True Oneness (the Eucharist) with modern heretical attempts at false unity without Christ (imitation).
Why was Cardinal Bernardin the main force behind Pope John Paul II’s compromise of once-only altar boys which traditionally supplied enough priests (a dramatic reversal of a 1985 decree)? Why was Cardinal Bernardin’s prayer for vocations (above all things) on a missalette?
In the most recent presidential election, do you realize that the Chicago politics (ACORN-Obama) received part of their funding from CHD? And this extreme liberal politics is totally opposed to traditional Catholic teaching, especially in regard to abortion. It is fitting that Chicago is the home of Hefner’s Playboy.
