Corporations, Congress and write-in candidates — you choose
When I see a corporation die on the battlefield, then I will agree that corporations deserve personhood. It was the Cold War that caused corporations and democracy to get along unnaturally. But that is over now.
In the meantime, you should all remember there is a shell game going on in Congress. They need the people's vote to get elected, but they need the ultra-rich to eliminate the honest competition. Once an honest candidate is outspent and underfunded, only the rich get to decide which candidates are on the ballot. It is called "tactical voting" and it is now the norm. You call that democracy?
I don't blame the corporations. They will be speared with threats of "squeeze bills" and coerced by threats of hostile legislation if they do not cooperate. History is filled with these kinds of politics. The absolute greed lies with the mostly corrupt congress and the civil service elite.
In any election, you can vote against a candidate. We all get a write in candidate for every position. Find one that is above the corruption and remember their name. With luck, they will make a difference. Vote for freedom in 2012!

Since the Democratic party is the party of truth and ethics, I sincerely hope they lead the way and follow Mr Bransom's suggestion. He is right and deserves to have his idea taken seriously.
He is right about the corporations. Microsoft INC( Bill Gates)., Berkshire Hathaway Inc,( A Buffett corporation), GE Corporation and Soros Fund Management LLC are just four of many corporations ( with Billionaire owners) buying the favor of an incumbent president (Obama). This is not right and the voter should do something about it.
Like Jerry stated...” We all get a write in candidate for every position. Find one that is above the corruption and remember their name. With luck, they will make a difference. Vote for freedom in 2012!” I know the democrats can pull this off and lead the way to teach the Republicans how things should be.
