Will the city of Lodi use meter-based water services before 2017? 0 comments

The state of California's Assembly — majority in Southern California — voted to require that all cities have water meters by the year 2017. There was no law established on charges for water use or meters.

Lodi City Council members' concern for real estate developers and builders shows their desire to use water meters as a method to tax the citizens through water meter use — disposal and usage.

State law just required that meters be installed, but said nothing about pricing for water use or disposal. The Lodi City Council voted for meters in 2011. Does the city plan to use meter-based waste water disposal before the year 2017 — or even water use?

I hope we have at least one council member who cares about seniors and taxpayers.
