There is an old saying: "You never miss what you have until you lose it." And that statement came to play in my life in April.

My doctor prescribed a medication for me and my regular pharmacy didn't have it, so I had to go to another drugstore. What an experience!

The store to me was like going into a foreign country and not knowing their language or customs. I was not treated like I was accustomed to at my pharmacy. There was an air of coldness and non-acknowledgment to my needs. And so be it!

At last I was able to return to my pharmacy, which really felt like I was back in my own country. The warmth, consideration, kindness and professionalism was all still there. In my opinion, my pharmacy is the greatest pharmacy in Lodi — and any other city is may be in.

I've learned at my age to never take anything for granted in this world because it could change really fast. So to my local pharmacy, know that I appreciate and thank you all for all that you are and for all you do for the beautiful people of Lodi. Everyone likes to feel important, and that's the way you make me feel. God bless you all and keep up the great work.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
