Principal Patricia Lingerfelt’s comparison was inaccurate
I read the front page article in the News-Sentinel titled,
"Admin Places Teacher Under Arrest" on Dec. 24. In the latter part
of the article, I was struck by the comment that Principal Patricia
Lingerfelt compared Lurdes Rosales' experience to that of Rosa
Parks refusing to give up her seat on a bus in the segregated
South.
To compare Rosales' experience to the injustice and bigotry that
Rosa Parks and Black Americans experienced on a daily basis in the
South is not only laughable, but truly an insult to Parks' amazing
legacy and the incredible courage shown by her that day.

I don't know if I'd call it racial tension. I'd call it "not doing you job tension."
There is a huge lack of leadership at Lodi Middle School. The difference between LMS & Millswood (both w/female principals) is drastic. One runs like a well oiled machine & the other floats dreaming of rainbows & unicorns thinking everything is wonderful at the school.

No, Ms. Dean, I am not a product of LUSD, rather a product of a school system that taught me to compose comprehensible sentences and to use proper spelling and grammar.
Perhaps it is your cryptic method of posting "inside" information that prevents you from expressing yourself properly.

Lingerfelt was aware of some sort of racial tension between the teacher and administrator.
Only another Administrator would be aware of such a situation Cheryl- Principal at larson.

No, I am not and Yes they do need to shake up the upper half of LUSD Ms. Bobin....
Apparently you are though.

I certainly hope that Ms. Dean is not a product of LUSD - if so, we need to REALLY shake up the system.
Mr. Baumbach - I agree with you that the reference to Rosa Parks was pretty strange, but perhaps Ms. Lingerfelt's motive for using that comparison was not expressed in the article. I can only think that Ms. Lingerfelt was aware of some sort of racial tension between the teacher and administrator.

This is in NO way a comparison to Rosa Parks, its all about control and deceit!!! If LUSD would hire Admin that knew how to do their jobs, they wouldnt have teachers in such an uproar!

I posted on this the other day BEFORE they disabled the comments. I really feel they diable the comments because they want to protect LUSD. LUSD has their hand in LNs pockets too!
LUSD is after any and all LONG TERM employees. They want to be sure to line the pockets of the Top Brass!
So they get rid of the Teachers, and any and all staff that they can. Unless you are a YES person! They want puppets NOT employees who know how to do their JOB!
If you dont say, yes Sir, Yes mam, and agree with All the assinine requests you all out of grace,. Once that happens you are on the "hit " List. I think all of the people whom they are currently Harrassing and have passed Harrassed should get together and hit them where it counts, THEIR POCKETBOOK! If anyone reads this and wants to band together let me know we can all meet up and get a LAWYER!!!

When I first read the Rosa Parks statement, red flags went up. My first thought was that the problem in this situation is not the vice-principal, but the principal.
The original article articulated Lurdes Rosale's effort to seek out counsel for possible actions to take.
The statement by Patricia Lingerfelt indicates that she has been involved with this situation intimately and was guiding the vice principal as well as influencing the outcome.
As correctly pointed out in this letter, to equate Rosa Parks to this situation demonstrates the lack of reality in the world view of this principal. This false perception of reality obviously influenced the bad advice this principal most likely gave.
