I looked for Obama's birth certificate

This is a response to Heinz Lehrach's response of March 9 in the Letters to the Editor. I looked up the sites Mr. Lehrach listed: Factcheck, Politifact, Wikipedia and Snopes. I added a couple of others.

I owe Mr. Lehrach an apology. I looked up my parents, my sister, my brother, my ex-wife and my 3 children. Apparently none of us were born since I found no birth records. So, I guess the birth certificate I have is not real.

I imagine a man that spent over $2 million of his own money to fight the release of his birth certificate and college records could have a phony set of documents made; just look at all the illegal immigrants who have a California Driver's License and Social Security card.

I think from here on out, we will just refer to the current occupant of the White House as an undocumented president. Gotta love our country.

...This argument needs to blow itself into oblivion. This is how it's going down. OBAMA is our President. And I for one think that he is a complete idiot. Look!!!! and then look again. This man only wishes he could carry water for those who could actually show some semblance of leadership. Just watch him... and then if you still want fall in line behind the wreckage known as Barack Obama then that would be a place reserved for the few and the rare -- so you got that going for ya. God Bless

to get OBL there may not have been a 911.

I am so glad that the Internet serves at least one contributor here so well. Not only does this contributor believe everything they read on the Internet, they feel compelled to repeat it.

If this person is the "leader" of a political movement and chooses to believe all that they have repeated here, imagine what the "followers" must be like.

a recent study suggests conservative brains have larger amygdalas, the fear receptor in the brain. I wonder if this means less activity in the sarcasm section of the brain. That would help explain why they don't enjoy Stewart or Colbert. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/8228192/Political-views-hard-wired-into-your-brain.html

BD and KP: I think you have discovered it!! OB's parents used his bc for doobie papers.

As far as academia...heck that's an easy one...he redistributed his grades and papers to all of his lesser commrades at school...after all he is the gifted one.

OBL? They would have just replaced him with BHO, BDO, OBI (one kanobie sp?) maybe a Shitzu/Poodle mix of some sort. Who knows.

I can almost buy the fact that back in the early 60's everyone in Hawaii was hangin' loose on Maui Waui weed and they didn't document the birth of an illegitimate child born to a Communist hippy, but his academic records???? Pulease! What is that all about? Did he get foreign aide? OR would even left wing America's hair stand on end at some of the material he wrote and studied? Of course Bill Ayers had now admitted publicly that he wrote "Dreams of my Father" (But you know Obama hardly knew Ayers...like he sat in Reverend Wright's pew for 20 years but must have been sleeping) If America survives long enough to make any more history, this election is going to go down as the biggest hoodwinking of the modern world...

I know that Mr. 2126's mind is racing all over the topics on this website, but he obviously missed the fact that I was following not only the topic, but the thread that he created from it.

Another violation of mine, but not one on his part. READING COMPREHENSION. I strongly recommend a refresher....or am I just caught in that Alfred Hitchcock movie, the name escapes me right now, where the husband convinces the wife that she is imagining things and is quickly going insane. No, you're not that inventive, Mr. 2126!!

there you go again for the 30th time in just 18 days... please focus and stay on topic... I stated Obama has political strategy behind his actions.... no conspiracy implied... then you attempt your typical strategy of of trying to make someone else look kooky... and again for the 23ird time, only made yourself look silly... I only was trying to imagine why someone would spend over 1 million to hide something that does not matter... thanks ms 441...oh... I mean 443...oh excuse me... I mean 440... oh... maybe I just say bobin...

Mr Kinderman... I was incognito... a man in the future that is not born yet is a good disguise...

There you go with the conspiracy theories again! The only difference is, producing bin Laden would have been much more valuable (not to mention interesting) than crushing the hopes and dreams of the birther nuts.

OOH, OOH!!!! Maybe OBAMA is going to produce bin Laden actually HOLDING Obama's "real" birth certificate!!

Joanne Bobin posted at 9:59 pm...Don't make me do the research and produce the quotes...
Thank you for another gem Ms Bobin... you are right... I wouldn't expect you to actually do the reseach to validate your suspections... why seek truth when spending time in your world is pleasing to you... All you stated was that Obama did not spend 2 million... leading the readers to guess what he spent... you have no facts... you do not know what the truth is... no one knows exactly what the total is, but significant and large sums of money have been spent.

Nancy Salvato with BasicsProject.org perhaps put it best:
"What perturbs the rest of us is that President Obama has failed to produce a legitimate birth certificate. He has a team of lawyers who are opposing the examination of his sealed records in Hawaii. What he produced was a certificate of live birth... not a birth certificate. The rest of us are appalled at the lack of media examination surrounding the fact that there is no law requiring that a candidate for the highest office in our land produce an authentic birth certificate which proves natural citizenship."
I decided to do your work for you... so below is what I found...

The political action committee 'Obama for America' paid $1,066,691.90 to the Perkins Coie law firm between Oct. 16, 2008 and March 30, 2009, to fight every request to release Obama's original birth records. [10] Partial listing of cases courtesy of WND.com (I assume there is more, but I do not know for a fac)... Im sure Bobin could care less what the facts are... just her position that birthers are crazy...
One might ask... if you assume that Obama really does have legitimate documentation... he could have saved at least one million … so why spend the money... my guess... he thinks it is worth every penny to perpetuate the controvery... again... for his political advantage.

  • Darrell Baumbach posted at 7:53 am on Mon, Mar 28, 2011.

    Darrell Baumbach Posts: 9405

But Steve... all people should seek truth... not care what truth is... just seek it... look for the facts... I think you have identified a real problem, which is too many people are attempting to justify and support the position they hold and truth is secondary.
There is only one person who has control... that is Obama. It would make sense that if Obama wanted to end the controversy, he could by producing the original “ the vaulted version”. Sense it is an easy and quick thing to do, it adds fuel to the fire when he refuses to do it... His action to not end the debate is the mystery. Maybe... the real reason he refuses is that he gets great political mileage out of the choice he selected. Maybe, he wants his supporters, like you and Bobin, to perpetuate the perception that people who are suspicious as to why he is hiding the original are nutty... then I expect someday … say around October 2012... that he release the original and prove he was telling the truth... and say see... I was telling the truth... all you birthers are nutty.
I am just guessing that he has the documentation... therefore, I am not what you would consider a birther... I think he is a calculating politician whose ego and selfishness dominates. He sees this as a political strategy that will benefit him. That is why I would advise all people to stop helping Obama by contributing to the controversy as it may be the deciding factor in a close election. This could be a small “October Surprise” like Brown pulled on Witman.
I think if you focus on the destructive policies Obama supports and his lack of leadership... that is appropriate.

Sounds like Mr. 2120 - Wow, that number is climbing exponentially daily! Sorry, sidetracked, but Mr. 2120 has nothing factual to offer here as usual, but resorts to making snide comments.

I did offer the fact that President Obama is a citizen and that he did not spend 2 million to cover up his mystical Kenyan birthplace. I think that "mature adults" are capable of Googling the same information and coming up with dozens of conflicting articles. It's just that birthers, like Mr. Vetica, choose to believe the ones that support the opinion he already has and there is no way any conflicting information could convince him otherwise.

Once again, Mr. 2120, you make comments about others' comments without realizing that YOUR comments are exactly what you accuse others of doing. Don't make me do the research and produce the quotes. I suppose, since I have told you this countless times, that you will never 'get it." Some people are slower learners and some people never learn at all.

Lets remember folks, Birtherbaggerpalintitis is a well documented mental disorder. Symptoms may include drooling, bed wetting, uncontrollable verbal flatulence and a complete break with reality. If you or a loved one are suffering from this tragic and embarrassing ailment, seek help immediately.

Mr Dockter, I feel for you. In know that in the past you have sought assistance from your states socialized medical system, I am not sure if this tragic affliction is covered.

  • Joanne Bobin posted at 2:35 pm on Sun, Mar 27, 2011.

Actually, Mr. Docktor, my comment had nothing to do with Obama spending 2 million, which, by the way, has also been debunked for all except those who wish upon a star every night hoping to find that the President is really not a citizen.

It was actually a reference to a person's attempt to invade others' privacy, including someone who may take legal offense at his intrusions. I can make no further comment on that topic.

But doesn't one wonder how "Ancestry.com" has connected the President to so many other people in this country (including GW Bush) through bloodlines without being able to view actual birth and death records? Is this company completely bogus? I do have my doubts about them myself, but can this be another conspiracy? I wonder....
