Raising gas prices paid for BP’s fines
Commercials can be one big lie. I am so sick of BP's television commercials; over and over again telling us how they had to spend $23 billion on clean up, another $2 to $4 billion in fines that they had to pay. They didn't pay one red cent. You and I paid for their mess and every mess they ever made. And we will be paying for a lot more.
They only have to add five or six cents to a gallon of gas for a month and they can pay off anything, and still end up with a profit. I know we need oil at this point in time, but I don't think we should be drilling holes in the ocean floor — our ocean. There are a lot of other places on land to drill. And what are the British doing on our side of the pond? I, for one, don't like it.
