This is to the friends of the Hutchins Street Square Pool. We really want to thank you for your response to the letter back in October where we asked for a $1 donation. The response was great. With the income, we were able to help offset the expense of the vandalism done to the pool heater.

We just want to let you all know we are having another fundraiser on April 13 at Applebee's. It will be a flap jack breakfast and will run from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The cost for a ticket is $8 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the Hutchins Street Square senior office located just below the pool.

The friends of the pool do want to thank you for your great support. The Foundation is a 501(c)3, which is a taxable donation on your income tax.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
