James Mousalimas, current deputy superintendent at the San Joaquin County Office of Education, is the clear choice to be the next county Superintendent of Schools. He is the only candidate with the experience, knowledge, ethical character and ability to lead our schools in this time of great change and challenge.

I attended the Taxpayers Association forum a couple weeks ago and listened to each candidate speak about the need to build trust and gain the confidence of the districts the county office serves.

It’s hard to overlook the fact that superintendents who represent about 90 percent of the students in this county joined nearly 6,000 teachers and 4,000 support staff in endorsing James as our next superintendent. This list of supporters joins business leaders such as Fritz Grupe and the A.G. Spanos Company, law enforcement groups including the San Joaquin County Deputy Sheriff Association and the Stockton Police Officers’ Association, as well as members of the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, including our local representative, Ken Vogel.

Join me and the leaders of our community listed above in electing James Mousalimas, an outstanding and distinguished educator, as our next county Superintendent of Schools.

Greg Clark

Retired teacher, coach and administrator
