It bothered me today when I was going to school because everyone was getting tickets from the police in front of my school. Besides, it’s Christmas time and everyone needs to buy presents instead of pay tickets.

Kid: you break the law you get a ticket no matter what time of the year it is. The people who received a present from the LPD broke the law, especially in a school zone. Welcome to the real world, 25 MPH in a school zone. Thats the lesson for the day. [smile]

Karis, thank you for taking the time to write a very nice note.

It bothers me too when I see people not being nice.

But remember that the police have a job to do, they're keeping the streets safe for you and your classmates.

Perhaps it would be better to see more verbal warnings given and fewer tickets issued but the city needs the revenue!!

    So please remind your parents...

Not to speed near schools, always stop for pedestrians and that "white zone" is for loading and unloading only!

    Merry Christmas Karis.

    [smile]
