This is to add a few comments to the letter to the editor, “Why should privacy of a few outweigh the many?” by Mike Tsarnas, Sept. 17. The governor’s scheme is to allow transsexuals to use whichever elementary school’s restrooms they are comfortable with, no matter how uncomfortable the other little girl or boy would be over the violation of her or his privacy.

This governor did nothing to protect Proposition 8, passed by a hearty margin of California voters stating that marriage in this state would be between one man and one woman. Then a homosexual-favoring judge (who ethically should have recused himself) pronounced that the very bedrock of our civilization was “unconstitutional!”

I believe that now is the time for parents of school-age children to contact Gov. Brown, the state Legislature and school officials to demand that this outrage not be put into practice. This is a form of bullying.

I am not condemning homosexuals. They are people who have the right to choose what they do in private, though not the right to force the general public to grant them special privileges based on their choice of a lifestyle.
