Outpouring of compassion is overwhelming and appreciated

Have you ever been so overwhelmed with emotion that you can’t speak? Having my husband pass was traumatic, but the outpouring of love and concern by so many people has left me unable to express adequately how much it means to me and my family.

My son’s new boss provided air miles and time off. There were so many beautiful flowers and plants, and cards with not just thoughtful versus but handwritten messages of caring and compassion. There have been almost 100 Gideon Bibles donated in his memory — that is a life-giving memorial that just keeps giving. Donations in his name have been given to the church building fund and for renal failure/dialysis research. People have called daily to make sure everything is OK, offered house cleaning and lawn maintenance, made dinners and asked to help in any way possible.

Blessings like this make me feel so humble to have such a wonderful family, friends, friends-of-friends, school classmates, church family, co-workers and neighbors who really care and show it. We want you to know how much you mean to us. Thank you.
