Budget still doesn’t address economic issues
Wow, another budget passed by our lame-duck politicians. The only thing missing was a big raise in their salaries, but that's to come later when all this turmoil on the latest budget is over.
On the budget, the high rollers were out again — no higher taxes. What else is new? They still side-step the real reason we're so broke — foreign aid, immigration, loss of jobs, poor economy and spending cuts. These are just a few.
A few new Congress members are to be sworn in, so let's hope they bring some new ideas to the table, maybe get something done to help this country.
What is the matter with us as a strong nation, not helping our own people here in the USA? The people in the eastern part of the country need help after the bad storms! We help other countries right now when they have a problem.
What we really need is a president like Harry S. Truman — the buck stops here! Amen.

I think someone should let Ira know that a budget hasn't been passed in nearly 4 years.

Ira Senecal, thanks for the post. I see no relief until a majority realize both parties are in the SAME club, and we begin to..... 'Just Vote NO'.... until they offer us understandable legislation to vote on
