Obamacare — the Affordable Care Act — saved my life.

I worked all of my life and found myself suddenly without work and without medical insurance. I signed up for Obamacare as required by law.

Within one month of receiving my insurance, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My medical insurance plan covered the necessary surgery, medicine and support to prolong my life. Due to my Kaiser medical plan, today I am thriving. I received the support and assistance I needed, and today I am in remission. The copay is affordable.

In the 60 years of my life I have never received or relied on federal assistance. Thanks to Obamacare, I can live a long life.

    Jeri:

Great news that you were able to get treatment for a pre-existing condition. That would never have happened except for that provision of Obamacare.

Your situation is similar to my sister's - only she wasn't able to get any health care and instead of leaving her family with huge medical bills, she made the decision for no treatment. We miss her very bad.

I remember you from the "old days" at Lodi Fab. Good to hear you are doing well.

Christina, I would of introduced you to Ron...

But I see that you already met!

No warning needed either as you already got him pegged.

    Haters gotta hate.

Why would you assume that Jeri isn't paying for her insurance. This sort of meanness is becoming all to common. Maybe Jeri has benefited from the pre-existing condition or the no ceiling on treatment aspect of Obamacare. You really have no way of knowing from this letter and your leap to condemn is ugly.

Yes, sailed on to recovery. Your sarcasm seems to imply that you would have rather this poor woman died. Shame on you!

Miller in her post thanks Obama care for saving her life, I have no problem with that, as my wife is a 20 breast cancer survivor. She must remember that Barry care helped pay for her surgery, before and after care. I am delighted to here that she is doing well. One more thing, she mentioned Kaiser briefly, I would think she would be more grateful to the wonderful doctors at Kaiser who removed the cancer. [beam]

Conservatives would prefer that individuals like you, who didn't have health insurance until "obamacare" would get sick and quietly die. They prefer to focus on "you can keep your current doctor" as a lie by the President knowing that insurance companies can change or alter coverage at will rather than enumerate all the people "obamacare" has helped.
