The ashes left after the last DUI checkpoint on Kettleman Lane and Lakeshore Drive are gone — swept clean — my faith in humanity has been restored!

May I suggest using battery-powered red warning lights if at all possible when setting up the checkpoints? No open flames, no ashes, and the same warning is clearly seen!

I'd be willing to make a small donation towards the purchase if they decide to use battery-powered lights.

Thanks again, Lodi PD, and keep up the almost thankless job of keeping us safe on our city streets!

Bob Romans
