This is a letter to Santa. I know you are a very busy man this year, and when you come to visit we know you need to get right back to the North Pole.
I had to write this to you because every year you have made your way into our neighborhood, hitting up every street and bringing a smile to all the children's faces (as you know, we have a lot of kids).
Myself, other parents, and many, many children were a little disappointed this year when your reindeer drove that fire truck quickly on Culberson Drive, Blue Jay Way and went into the other neighborhood on the other side of Century Boulevard.
We listened to see where you were, and my two sweet angels huddled so tight in the blankets looked for you. We could hear you, but your "ho ho hos" faded away quickly. We went through three neighborhoods looking for you, but we had to go home disappointed.
As we looked for you, there were other parents in cars with their children looking for you, too. They, too, were disappointed.
I hope next year you take the time like other years before to see the children the last time before your big night. It was hard listening to the disappointment of our two girls, other children as they drove by and the children who were waiting outside their garages.
Have a merry Christmas, Santa. Sincerely: All the parents and children on Perlegos Way, Schaffer Drive, San Martino Way, Tuscolana Way, Montebello Way, Oriole Lane, Fairchild Drive, Idelwild Drive, Hartford Drive, Dunsmuir Drive, Swallow Lane, Starling Way, Mockingbird Drive, Humming Bird and Seahawk Drive.
