I would like to thank the Lodi police officers for their quick response when we have a serious issue.

We had a frightening incident a few weeks ago in our condominium complex. A young man broke through a sliding glass door. He jumped from balcony to balcony throwing potted plants at sliding glass doors until he was able to smash a glass door with a patio chair and get inside. It took four officers to subdue him.

A few days ago, the young man returned and was behaving in a very erratic way, at one point sitting in a trash can. I called police and several officers arrived. I was very impressed by the way the officers handled this very disturbed man. They slowly surrounded him, handcuffed and coaxed him into their car.

These officers put their lives in harm’s way every day to protect and serve you and me. They also have families who never know if today is the day they might not come home because someone unexpectedly pulled a weapon on them. A perfect example is Officer Kevin Tonn from Galt Police Department.

Who do you call when you’re frightened or need help?
