The Grinch wants to destroy Christmas again this year. Year after year, Santa has beaten him. We cannot let the Grinch ever win.

As Christmas is fast approaching, Lodi Adopt-A-Child is gearing up for our annual gift giving. Remember, as a child, the smells of the season and the excitement of expecting Santa. Many of our kids will be disappointed if the Grinch gets his way. We have nearly 1,200 kids in our program this year. We need your help to meet this demand.

Please come to our office and pick up an angel card or two, and buy some clothing and a toy for a child. Having our shoppers purchase the gifts is time-consuming, so we really need to have these children adopted. However, if you do not have time to shop, a cash donation is much appreciated. Our address is 100 E. Pine St., the corner of E. Pine and Main.

You, citizens of Lodi, have never let us down, and we pray you will see it in your heart to give generously again. No person stands as straight as when they stoop to help a child.
