Since 1952, when the hospital first opened its doors in Lodi, those of us who volunteer and work at Lodi Memorial Hospital, now Lodi Health, have sincerely appreciated the strong loyalty and support of the community members we serve.

As an all-volunteer board made up entirely of community members who give hundreds of hours each year, I can promise you that keeping the hospital in this community to best serve the needs of those who live here has always been our mission. It’s what is at the heart of every decision we have made as a board; and that is the primary reason we have remained independent since 1952. It is our every intent to keep Lodi Health that way.

I personally would like to thank my fellow board members for their service and correct the board roster that ran with Tuesday’s story about Lodi Health. The current board includes executive committee members Steve Crabtree, Dan Phelps, Christeen Ferree, Mona Shulman and Dr. Param Gill, and standing board members Liz Aguire, Debbie Olson, Bill Cummins, Pat Patrick, Jeff Kirst, Taj Khan, Ron Addington, Dr. Thomas Sorbera, Paul Haley and Steve Fetzer.
