Editor: Not satisfied with the cooperation of the news media, transgenders are now pushing to use either male or female public restrooms in whichever they feel comfortable.

What about the comfortable. What about the comfort of those citizens and their children who would expect privacy, as they always have in public restrooms?

Some states have already yielded to their demands, but so far California has not and we should each let Gov. Brown know if we don’t want that practiced here. Transgender individuals may think they know more about how the human body works than the God who created them does. Genesis 1:27 reads: ”God created man in His image ... He created him; male and female He created them.”

Psalm 139:14 reads: “I will give thanks to Thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully make.” (New American Standard Bible edition)

I am not trying to preach. I know what it is to question why I am female in a man’s world. Many years ago I worked for the IRS. Federal employees had grade levels on a pay scale. I’ve had a man sit beside me at my desk while I trained him for the job he was hired to do. When the training was completed, he went on to be two grades higher than I was.

I was a divorcee raising children. Women in offices were not wearing slacks yet. We never knew if the nylon hosiery we were wearing would make it to noon without sustaining a snag which caused a run.

For me there were child care and parking fees to pay, not to mention sons who needed new shoes every few weeks.
