To my good friends of Lodi, hi!

My news is all good news. Lunch at the LOEL Center is really a treat. The food is truly something to experience. A menu comes out every month, and you and you alone may choose which day to eat. Please don't miss this journey and healthy path to contentment.

Another great treat is the company of the other seniors who attend lunch every day.

It's really easy to enjoy yourself at the LOEL Senior Center. The food is cooked to perfection by John, our chef, and Daniel, his assistant. It is all prepared with seniors in mind, and John and Daniel go out of their way to accommodate us. They always listen and try to get the food we like.

Liz, our director, who oversees this program, also goes out of her way to assist us and help us have long, healthy lives. So please treat yourself and attend our lunch program.

Also, on Tuesday afternoons we have Bingo! It's an afternoon of fun, laughter and enjoyment, along with the game of chance.

You meet the nicest people of Lodi at the LOEL Center. And the more people who attend, the more rewards will be paid out. When you walk into our Bingo game, you'll never meet a stranger!

So put your mind at ease and come and enjoy Tuesday afternoon with the many friendly people of Lodi at the LOEL Center. Don't be a stranger, and let us all become friends at a friendly game of Bingo.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all. God bless you and have a great day.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
