This is a clarification letter for the AAUW article on the People Assisting Lodi Shelter presentation, “AAUW hears about animal shelter from PALS.”

I want to thank AAUW for allowing PALS representatives the opportunity to speak to their organization. However, there are a few facts that need to be corrected.

The founders of PALS were Daunis Bradshaw and Nancy Alumbaugh. They formed PALS in an effort to raise funds to purchase vaccines and help shelter animals with other medical needs. Adoption of animals were done by shelter volunteers and Lodi Animal Shelter staff out of Lodi Animal Shelter before 2004.

I apologize for any misunderstanding caused by this article.
