We are sending a big thank you to all who supported our annual Dog Day Afternoon on Aug. 8.

A special thank you to Miller’s Hot Dogs for sponsoring our event, to Joe Harrington and Lodi Health for always providing an area for our event and the many other ways you support our council year after year, to the Stockton Lions Club for barbecuing all the dogs, and to Duncan Press for the printing of our tickets. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets or donated to our event.

Because of each and everyone of you, it was a great success. More nonprofit agencies in our area will benefit from everyone’s kindness and support.

Oh, for a moment I thought Lodi had an event for canines! Glad the turn out was good for hot dogs and charities. I'm amazed that Lodi is such an unfriendly toward dogs town- after reading they are banned at farmer's market. Just try to rent in Lodi if you have a dog, lol! Anyhow- maybe next year you could have a police K-9 event or dachsund races or dog costume event to honor our furry friends along with hot dogs[smile]
