I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank the people who helped the Lodi American Legion Post 22 feed more than 150 veterans, their therapists and spouses at Lodi Lake on June 8.

The event is known as Heroes on the Water. It is an adaptive kayak and fishing event that includes a full day of activities offered to our returning veterans from our nation’s wars.

As the commander of American Legion Post 22, I want to thank Don Angler from Heroes on the Water, Dan Arbuckle from Lodi’s Headwaters Kayak store, Michael DeBenedetti and Dianne Blankenship from Miller Hot Dogs, Amie Harrell from 21st Century Oncology, and Chad Donley, Ken Kramlich, Patrick Meunier, Kevin Ehman, Julian Lopez, Martin Jones and Rea Jones from American Legion Post 22.

All of these people helped to make this event a great success.

Bob Gross

Commander

Lodi American Legion Post 22
