I am writing this letter in support of Curt Campion, Community Development Director. As part of our community and friend, Curt Campion continues to prove his expertise to this community through professionalism and loyalty.

Over the years, Curt Campion has informed the community of new and ongoing development through public meetings, and he is never too busy to set time aside to chat with the citizens of Galt. His actions speak louder than any words, and his continued sense of loyalty, honesty and professional attitude to the city of Galt speaks his true feelings on how he hopes to see this city flourish. I believe some of our local businesses exist today due to Curt Campion’s professional attitude and dedication to this community.

It troubles me when such loyalty is punished or pushed aside and forgotten when it comes to personal agendas. I believe a better resolution could have been offered which would yield more supportive results from the community. I believe this present verdict displays an enormous loss to the community of Galt and I am disappointed in such a ruling.

I ask our current city of Galt Council to revisit the decision and explore for a positive avenue that will benefit all involved. It is my opinion that this decision will affect the city in a negative aspect and may establish a tone for future business with the city of Galt.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
