My grandfather is in Partners (a group of retired people helping the police out by doing the side jobs) and asked me to write this poem.

The main point about this poem is to let people know that when they post signs, they must also take them down.

It doesn’t matter if their cat, dog or bike isn’t found. After a while, they need to be taken down. Even the garage sale signs.

What people don’t realize is that the people in Partners are busy doing other things, and take time out of their busy day to take down signs other people left behind. They shouldn’t have to do that, but they do it anyway for the town.

“Missing cat and need help?

No problem!

Put up a sign!

Someone will take it down later.

Missing dog and need help?

No problem!

Put up a sign!

Someone will take it down.

Having a garage sale?

Put up signs all over!

Don’t worry, though,

Someone will take them down.

Stolen bike?

No problem!

Put up a sign!

Someone will take them down.

Yes,

Someone can,

And will,

Take your signs down.

Though,

That person,

Should be you.”
