I read Sam West’s letter, “Obama should be assisting jailed U.S. Marine in Mexico,” and totally agree with him and I am wondering the same.

Our president invites the parents of a soldier who walked away from his post in Afghanistan to the White House. I am glad that Bergdahl is home, and I’m not going to judge him until we know all the facts.

However, why isn’t our president doing anything to get this soldier released?

Furthermore, here we have a soldier with a honorable discharge from the military sitting in a jail in Mexico, and I am amazed that the State Department is not able to do anything about it.

Fox News has addressed this issue and given the maximum coverage, including asking Hillary Clinton to assist in this matter. I commend them for their persistence is covering this issue.
