Herald Trumpets come to Lodi
Lodi is about to receive a truly historic honor when the Herald
Trumpets of the United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own," from
Washington, D.C., will come here in a rare West Coast appearance to
join the Lodi Community Band as guest performers in two special
concerts on May 3 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Hutchins Street
Square.
We invite you to attend one of the performances of this
"Patriotic Music Celebration." Great effort and support from local
businesses and organizations have come together to make this a once
in a lifetime event.
As many of you know, the Lodi Community Band is a volunteer
organization that performs free concerts throughout the year. But
for this concert we must charge a small admission fee. We are
responsible for all the expenses connected with bringing the Herald
Trumpets to Lodi - their transportation, lodging, meals and
entertainment. So for the first time, we must charge just $20 per
ticket for almost two hours of wonderful musical entertainment.
These tickets are available at the Hutchins Street Square box
office.
It is truly a great honor for Lodi to have these talented
musicians come to our town. Please show your community pride and
appreciation for all who are making this possible by joining us on
May 3.

The only thing missing from this letter is a link to the Lodi Community Band's website: http://www.lodicommunityband.com If folks aren't sure why they should come see the Herald Trumpets, they can watch a video clip on the website and hear just how awesome they are. Playing with them will be an honor.
