This is regarding Mr. Romero (director of the American Civil Liberties Union) and Arizona Immigration Law.

Mr. Romero's plans to take on the Arizona Immigration Law is an ill-conceived endeavor.

I love the ACLU, but you are on the wrong side here and your actions will cost you dearly in fundraising. I will withdraw support if you do this. I know you have been advocates of comprehensive and fair immigration reform and I want you to continue down that path. But to date you have failed, and this is not going to gain you anything in that respect.

You are just dividing the nation over the issue of whether illegal immigration is illegal. Get on the right side in this battle and we will help you get comprehensive immigration reform. But I will not support action against states' rights — especially this issue.

The state is correct, illegal immigration is a huge drain on the economy besides being illegal. Get on the right side of this issue today.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
