The students and staff of Lodi High School would like to express our gratitude for the support and generosity that this community has shown to the Class of 2013.

At our recent Senior Awards Night, Lodi High seniors received more than $3.7 million in scholarships, grants, military education benefits and college awards. Of that amount, more than $130,000 was awarded to our students by local service clubs, businesses and scholarship foundations.

On behalf of our students and faculty, we say a heartfelt “thank you” to all those who work so hard to fund scholarships. Your support has truly made a difference in our students’ lives. Scholarships provide our students with much-needed financial assistance as well as recognition for a “job well done.” Your generosity will be remembered for years to come.

Becky Jauregui

Lodi High School scholarship adviser

Ms Aquino, to my mind, saying you don't have an opinion about ISIS is like saying you don't have an opinion about pedophilia.

Of course, because we don't pay ransoms, our citizens are kidnapped at a substantially lower rate than, say, the French.

Ms Aquino, ISIS releases hostages when their ransom has been paid. America and the UK do not pay ransoms so our citizens get beheaded.
