The Carnival Triumph Cruise Line story on the front page of the Lodi News-Sentinel on Saturday — what a breath of fresh air! I am so impressed that your paper ran this story.

I, like many others, have been following this story for the last week. The story and viewpoint of the writers, the willingness of The Lodi News-Sentinel to share the reality of how we humans react in dire conditions to help one another, comfort strangers and lend a helping hand shows our God-given heart in times of trouble. It sounds like many lives were changed for good through this ordeal.

This is why I subscribe to a local newspaper! Keep up the great work.
