Jill Morgan, my hat is off to you. I've seen first-hand the time, dedication and love you've given to the animals you rescue.

There is no other person I know who loves what she does more than Jill. This is a person who devotes every weekend and evening to placing "throw away animals" into new, loving homes. Jill is very intelligent, extremely organized and has a large group of volunteers helping with the evaluation and placement of society's "disposable animals."

I wish that some of Jill's critics would step inside her shoes and visit just one of the many shelters she visits weekly and see the enormous number of dogs and cats put down on a monthly basis. The irresponsibility of pet owners is unbelievable and seen daily in these shelters. Not every rescued animal can be saved as in Rocky/Buddy's case.

I also saw first-hand the aggressive behavior of Rocky. When I took my dogs to visit at Jill's we decided not to let Rocky loose because he was so agitated that day. Something was wrong with Rocky and couldn't be fixed. Even Mr. Irish gave up on Rocky - advertising "Free to a Good Home."

Rocky was a little "Rocky," that's all there was to it.

Hey, if I lived in a neighborhood where my kids had to attend McNightmare High School, I'd be angry too. At myself!

LodiReaderFromStockton - my, my, my - you are an angry little person, aren't you?Your rant really should be ignored in total, but I must remark that animals cannot be "murdered." That distinction (and all that it entails) is reserved for the illegal killing of human beings. While we should all respect our animal friends, to equate their value to that of human beings is inherently dangerous. I love my pets and do everything I can to keep them healthy and safe. But they are my "property" and as such must be viewed in this way. Elevating them to a status where they should be afforded rights heretofore reserved for people is just plain wrong.

Walk in her shoes? No thanks. I would rather be able to hold my head high while walking in my own shoes. I wouldn't want to be a lying, coniving, thieving, dog murdering, high horse riding, God complex having, evil person. But thanks anyway.

I'd be interested to know if these people who are outraged about euthanizing a dangerous animal support abortion.

BobbyG, so what would you propose? This dog spend the rest of it's life in a cage away from people and unfamiliar animals? Would you want this aggressive animal around your kids? Your neighbors kids? Are you willing to risk an unpredictable animals behavior on your insurance policy? I saw a story years ago on aggressive dogs. These people adopted a dog, with a history, from the pound. No, it was a mixed breed, not a pit bull, but part shepherd. Within 1 hour of bringing it home it killed one of their neighbors children playing in their yard. When it comes to an aggressive animal, do society a favor and put it down. Get real!

Cog, while you are right tht she may be an animal expert, the person from which she took the poor dog from and murdered was and is a very respected animal rehabilitation expert. He specializes in rehabilitating problem animals. The organiztion that Ms. Morgan belongs to went and sought after this man for his help and expertise. When he found the dog to be rehabilitated he put the animal back up for adoption with prerequisites. Ms. Morgan refused to believe in the expert that her collegues had chosen and thus acted on her own and murdered an innocent life of this animal. This dog was supposablly not able to be around other small animals. How is this any different than says that a dog shouldnt be around a cat(s), etc? Is it really any differnt? What this lady did was incredibly wrong!

Mrs Robinson, im sure Jill Morgan is a good person BUT she lied, she gave false information just to take a dog that was not hers and have him put to sleep. There were other channels she could have taken thru the rescues contract with Mr Irish. She took matters into her own hands and I personally think that she deserves the bad publicity that she has gotten. There are Courts and contracts and the legal system that probably would have been on her side. yet she ALONE made the decision. Thats wrong no matter what her intentions were. I hope that the rescue dismisses her from her duties, and that they can get back to what they do best. Saving dogs , not killing them!
