There are bleeding heart liberals all over California wringing their collective hands regarding the recent legislation that was passed in Arizona regarding "illegal" immigration.

Note that I emphasized the word illegal. Illegal means prohibited by law or by official or accepted rules.

I believe that all states should pass similar legislation since our federal government refuses to protect this country. It is time the states step up to the plate and do the job to help prevent incidents such as the following:

In the Morgan Hill Unified School District, students at Live Oak High School were suspended for expressing their American patriotism on a day that means virtually nothing to this country. I refer to the Cinco de Mayo incident. Since when do we in our own country have to bow and scrape to those celebrating the holiday of a foreign country? But this is exactly what the students were expected to do.

Americans should never have to relinquish their right to express their patriotism while living in this country. This is the United States of America. Red, white and blue are our patriotic colors, and we should be able to proudly wear these colors at anytime. We have allowed our state/country to be taken away from us by those who break our laws by coming to this country illegally. I am not giving up my country without a fight.
