I have a question. The Lodi Rotary Clubs were not the only service clubs in attendance that raised money for Salvation Army, “Lodi Rotary Clubs join in Salvation Army event,” published Dec. 12 in the Lodi News-Sentinel. Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi has been attending the Salvation Army’s annual Kettle Kickoff since the first event. Our club raised a total over $6,600 by one club this year alone.

Kiwanis is a strong supporter of Salvation Army all year long. So support all service clubs that Support the Salvation Army.

Rick Kludt

Long-time supporter of Salvation Army

2013-14 president of Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
