We'd like to thank everyone for their support this year and ask that you don't forget homeless animals in your Christmas giving. All nonprofits as well as the public sector have been hit hard by the failing economy. Animal Friends Connection Humane Society is one of those nonprofits.

More and more animals are being left behind due to the foreclosure crisis, further taxing us and other nonprofits that shelter and foster animals. The failing economy and rising costs may force reductions in rescue efforts and educational programs. Your donations will ensure that our sanctuary will be able to stay open and save the lives of more dogs and cats. It will ensure that our spay and neuter, educational programs, community outreach activities such as our therapy dogs training and our youth volunteer programs will continue.

In addition to money, we need quality cat and dog food, both dry and canned, cleaning products, cat and dog beds and bedding such as small blankets, quilts and throws. Our animals would also like toys and chewies for entertainment. The fastest and easiest way to donate is to use the link to Network for Good on our AFCHS Home Page, www.animalfriendsconnect.org and click on the "Donate Now" button; or stop by 933 S. Cherokee Lane in Lodi or mail your donation to P.O. Box 2314, Lodi, CA 95241.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all the animals.
