There is no real sport in shooting defenseless animals

It is really disturbing to see all of these beautiful animals have died at the hands of Randy Thomas. What kind of sport do you call this, Mr. Thomas, to kill an animal that has no recourse to defend itself?

A sport requires some kind of competition. What kind of competition is it when some coward hides in the bushes with a high-powered rifle and kills his unsuspecting victim? Now, if you put down your weapon and went one-on-one with your victim and let the better competitor win, it would not be so one-sided. Would you brave that?

Better yet, if you have such a desire to kill, why don't you go to the Middle East and join our soldiers and shoot at a target who can shoot back — or is that too much competition?

What a waste of the front page of the Lodi News-Sentinel when there is real news to report.

Man has been hunting since time began.
You have the choice of not hunting if that makes you happy.
Don't criticize those who do enjoy hunting.

I am pro-choice as well... I want every unborn baby to have the choice to live. Sorry to be off topic, its just an add to Ms Bobin's thought .. glad she is in the same pro choice camp that I am... welcome Ms bobin.

isn't that special that Ms. Parigoris has revealed herself to be far right conspiracy theorist. Candidate for JBS membership? Or lifetime member? Seriously, "globalists" want to reduce the human population by "85%" in order to save animals? Do you actually read what you "cut and paste?"

Mr. K. - although I am in the "pro-choice" camp because every woman should have a choice, especially in the case of rape or incest, I in no way believe that abortion should be used as a birth control method.

Unfortunately, anti-abortion activists want to wipe out all forms of pregnancy prevention - witness the Mississippi "personhood" vote.

If more attention was paid to preventing unwanted pregnancies and educating ALL humans, including teens (more progress has been made in this area in Third World countries than in our own backyards), abortion may someday be a procedure that no one requests. And I hope you will not run to the "abstinence" defense. You are much too worldly than to believe that teens can be trained to ignore the call of their hormones.

And no, I do not believe in rampant teenage sex, but unfortunately our society promotes this as acceptable behavior and too many parents are willing to stroll the supermarket aisles with their daughters and illegitimate grandchildren.

Animals are here to serve a purpose for human beings. Some provide sustenance; others provide companionship. I agree to kill anything just for the sake of doing so makes no sense. That's why I am far more incensed over the killing of our unborn humans than about some guy who enjoys killing animals for sport. I think we've lost our sense of priorities on this planet and one day we will have to answer for it.

While everyone knows that Animal Rights (A/R) is at the far left extreme of the political spectrum, most people do not understand what A/R is or where they fit into the New Age/Globalism scheme. A/R, like the Green movement, is a multimillion dollar business that is a cabal for taking people out of the natural structure of the earth. And while most people sense that A/R is extreme, they have no idea of what the A/R movement’s core beliefs are. People confuse animal rights with animal welfare which are as different as black and white.

Animal Welfare is the humane caring for animals. Animal Rights is the use of animals to attack human existence. How is that? A/Rists believe that humans should not eat meat, wear leather, hunt or fish, use any medical research (past, present or future) involving animals or even have pets.

For the globalists, A/R is a perfect pawn. The globalists want to reduce the human population by up to 85%, what better ally to have than the A/Rists who hate humans; who want to erase humans from the face of the earth so the lion can lie down with the lamb (just don’t tell them that the lion is having lamb for dinner) and no human will be there to intervene.
Yes, Ms Bobin- I cut and pasted this..

    Ignored from the original article:

"But Thomas does not go out and randomly kill animals. In fact, Thomas' hunting is part of a conservation effort promoted by the California Department of Fish and Game.

Hunters like Thomas, known as trophy hunters, do not kill young animals. Rather, Thomas will go out and hunt mature, older animals that are considered a surplus, allowing populations of animals to be maintained at reasonable levels.

And so around the world Thomas will go, helping to maintain one species' population at a time."

Shoot, why don't we just give the animals the right to a fair trial before they are executed. Or better yet maybe we can give them little signs and they can "Occupy Hunting"! That would make the tree-huggers absolutely beside themselves with excitement.

So sad that Mr. K. thinks this is a joke. He certainly has a "sense of humor" that evidently has no respect for the wildlife on this planet.

The article on this "gentleman" was truly a disgusting waste of space in the LNS. I'm wondering who "nominated" this individual for coverage.

I do not agree in any way with hunting, but most people have the sense to hunt not only for "sport," but to also use the meat to feed their families.

The disgusting display of Mr. Thomas's "trophies" is a sad commentary on the brutality of man against animals. Half a dozen "trophies" - reasonable. But the dozens Mr. Thomas has on display in his home says volumes about his disregard for life on this planet and his evident belief that the superiority of humans gives him the right to take their lives.

Hear, Hear! I say we should arm all of those defenseless animals with automatic weapons - that should level the playing field to satisfy everyone. Of course teaching them how to use them might be a small challenge. Oh well, not everyone is going to be pleased.

What a waste of the front page of the Lodi News-Sentinel when there is real news to report.

Evidently, it was real news as Ivan read it and responded with passion. Not all news is pleasant or as we would like it to be.

Ivan, how do you feel about a Mountain Lion killing a deer for food?

Hey Ivan, do you get splinters from all that tree-hugging?
