Letter: If there is no enforcement, the fireworks problem will escalate

This letter is to agree with the letter from Tony Oddo, “There should be limits on setting off fireworks,” July 10, about the excessive use of fireworks in neighborhoods not only on the Fourth of July, but the week or two prior and a couple of days after. They were so big and loud they sounded like they were in our backyard. I got up to look out the door.

If the people doing this know there will be no enforcement, it will most likely continue and get worse. We are in an area between Kettleman Lane and Tokay Street, a different area than Tony’s neighborhood.

What can be done to limit the problem?
