Thank God for what you have. Gratitude is the seed or more.

Eat to nourish the body. It takes 20 minutes for the brain to know it’s full! Your appetite cannot be satisfied — I want, I want, I want. Your appetite is like a spoiled child. Eat to live, not live to eat.

If your body is ascetic you are disease-prone, but not if you are alkaline — you cannot get sick. Get it? What?

Interesting questions... somehow I don't picture him with a Smartphone in his hands, that's for sure.

Getting paid for any of it is the privilege .

Dollars can be made worthless just that fast. So much for storing it up. Acorns would have been better.

I enjoy camping just for it's simplicity.

I was born in the land of opportunity, other than that, you would have to ask my Dear `ol Mom and Dad, concerning privilege, in those days there was such a thing as the middle class, of which my folks were part of. If you call working for PG&E as a helper, digging holes in the ground privilege, in your eyes I was privileged, and no regrets. [beam]

Life might have been fine for Gandhi, if you want to live poor all your life, there were his ways and then there were everyone else s, wonder what he meant by a simple life? Wonder if he could survive in today's world, or would want to?

Was it Gandhi who said "live simply so others may simply live?" I've always loved that quote.

What about opportunity did you create that for yourself or were you privileged to be born in this great country?

Drullard, You state to thank God for everything you have. I cannot agree with that since nobody gave me anything and I have worked hard for everything I have. I want nothing more than what I have coming to me. My pension along with SSI, and saving I have put aside all my working life. Works for me. [smile]
