Letter: The village is being overrun by the masses

The No. 1 priority of government is self-preservation, and their first obligation is to its citizens who have consented to be governed and for whom the government itself exists. If these factors are not enforced then the government becomes illegitimate.

We have a government where both major parties seem to have decided that the illegal immigrant, who sucks the life out of our communities, is their main constituency, and the citizen, who finances all of government and bears the brunt of being overrun by illegals, are now second-class citizens — below that of the illegal immigrants. And with ethnic front groups like La Raza, these illegal immigrants are telling us that we must accommodate them while they refuse to assimilate into our culture, causing balkanization and conflict. Raul Yzaguirre, who was the president and CEO of La Raza for 30 years and Hillary Clinton’s point man for outreach to Hispanics, said that “U.S. English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks.”

This crisis at our border is orchestrated with the cooperation of the Obama administration and countries south of our border, with direction from the likes of Cecilia Munoz, a senior vice president of La Raza and current director of Obama’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. Without a secure border, a common language and culture, we will become what Obama believes we are — just one nation among many, and nothing special. In fact, at his speech before his Muslim brothers in Egypt in 2009, he called the American people stupid, lazy and spoiled, and that the problems they were having was our fault and that he would right our wrongs.

The explosion of violence in the Middle East and the African continent is a direct consequence of Obama’s policies or lack thereof — just as in 2012, when he unilaterally gave amnesty to over 800,000 illegals who say, but cannot prove, they were brought here as children, has caused the humanitarian crisis on our southern border.

Liberals are always saying it takes a village, but what happens when that village is overrun? Then it can’t help anyone!

And yet the voters who approve these insane water projects are largely residential consumers living south of Bakersfield.

As long as the people of LA insist on their need for swimming pools and golf courses I will refuse to believe that we really beed more dams and canals. As for energy, let us really see what we can do with conservation before we start raising new Fukushima's like mushrooms after a rain.

Given the fact that Portals posts are either wrong or out of date, here`s something the village should look into a lot deeper. In 20 years the population of Ca. will increase by 10 million. While this is off subject it deserves the attention of everyone. With that increase of population, will there be enough electricity to go around, answer NO, along with drinking water as it is now going into the 3rd year of a drought. Of course it will rain again, the the reservoirs will fill, the question is will there always be enough drinking water and power, NO. The state is run by people that believe those dopey wind mill and solar will provide enough power, again the answer is NO since they both work at the whims of nature, especially when the sun sets. Nuclear power and desalination are the answer, Never run out of power or fresh drinking water, as we are faced with today. It`s already 10 years to late. [offtopic]

Mr Portal, La Raza does not support illegal immigration and they do support border security. And they do very good work for many people here in America. They do not deserve your scorn.

Ron, it seems clear that you do not understand the quote you are using regarding "U.S. English." The quote is not a reference to the English language as you seem to imply. U.S. English is one of many organizations that advocate for English as the official language of the United States. Initially this group had widespread support, but when they began slandering Latinos as a culture, Walter Cronkite, who had been a board member, and others resigned in disgust.

Ron also conveniently forgets that the law that created this mess was signed by the second President Bush. Is he, perhaps, suggesting that the Bushes are cooperating with Obama?

Where is Andrew when you need him?

Ron! You screwed up. I can't find any mention of Bengahzi in this letter.
