Once again, we are reminded of the big heart and deep concerns Lodians share! Upon learning of the recent break-in and theft at the Woman’s Club, the Lodi community rose to their feet! Upon hearing of the break-in and removal of our treasured silver tea pots and silver serving pieces, the phone began to ring asking how each caller could help — or just sharing the sad feelings that this kind of theft brings.

Thank you for your support, for the encouragement, your offered donations and checks to our cause! We always celebrate our biggest, most successful fundraiser with a Victorian Tea. (We proud club members pride ourselves in knowing we “pay our way” through various fundraisers.)

We now tackle this project of securing the 20 needed tea pots, with the support and help of Lodi! If you have stashed a wonderful family piece of silver locked away in a cupboard, or if there is a proud shelf filled with items seldom brought to the table, please consider a donation to one of Lodi’s oldest gathering places!

We, again, thank each of you for your support! Please feel free to call the clubhouse at 209-368-4310 or Carol Meehleis at 209-334-0656. We continue to celebrate our beautiful building — pride and past in every nook and cranny!
