Letter: President Obama and his policies are dangerous

I know that there are many people who live in Lodi who feel the same way I do about President Obama. First of all, he should be impeached, or at least held for treason and jailed for what he is doing to this great country.

I truly believe he was born in Africa, not in Hawaii like he has been lying about.

He is a socialist and not American. Obama putting millions of Mexicans who are not Americans on Obamacare and SSI is unbelievable, to say the least.

Obama is dangerous. The people who voted him in should feel really good now that they can’t find work and can’t afford insurance for their family if they should get sick and can’t afford to see a doctor. They are going to die because of Obamacare. Many people will die.

And who says I'm NOT "on board," Mr. Dockter? Quite bold of you to presume the opposite.

My dad served in the Navy in the Pacific in WWII and my older brother served as a Medic in the Army in Vietnam. My husband served in the Army for six years on active duty, 2 tours in Vietnam, attended OCS and remained in the Reserves another 8 years and exited the Army after 14 years as a 2nd Lieutenant with numerous awards including a Bronze Star.

Why would I NOT be "on board?"

BTW - I don't see that you have "honored" your father by placing him in the WWII Memorial Registry online. No Dockters listed that were in the Marines or submitted by "Brian Dockter."

"I suggest you get on board!"

    Ms. Bobbin,

Unlike you, I'm not jumping for joy because of any of those numbers. And btw, not all of those Iraqi citizens were killed by U.S. troops and the coalition. Also, thankfully we'll never know how many more people would have been killed directly OR indirectly by Saddam. With war there will always be colateral damage. It seems to me you would have preferred the systematic slaughtering by Saddam and his henchmen. On this day I honor our Veterans for making this world a safer place. I suggest YOU get on board.

I'm assuming YOU checked out the numbers before opening your mouth - 100,000 Kurds killed by chemical warfare via Saddam Hussein and another 500,000 killed during the Iraq/Iran war including both citizens and combatants.

Iraqi citizens killed during the Iraq war (w/the US) - estimates are from 100,000 to 600,000 depending on who is doing the counting.

I'm betting that, other than political opponents, the number killed DIRECTLY by Saddam Hussein would be way less than 100,000, let alone 600,000.

And, btw, that's "henchmen," not "hinchmen."

The fact that you see no problem with the letter is the problem we face in America today. The letter is full of lies and inaccuracies. It is all about integrity. I bet you see no problem with Rand Paul's Plagiarism also.

People will die......ask the Iraqi's how many of their people were killed by a stupid war brought on by W.

    -Mr Hartung,

Why not YOU also ask the Iraqis how many of their people were slaughtered by Saddam and his hinchmen. Unless you're opposed to commenting on this perspective out of fear it might compromise you're one-sidedness on the Iraq War?

Yes very much so, because the country is changing for the better. Getting out of stupid wars, more rights for people, potential....I do say potential better health care alternatives. The markets have turned upward, housing situation is better, the American car industry was saved...should I go on?

"Please educate yourself before going on rants to talk down on someone and to assume that you know everything about that person based off of one opinion of theirs."

Seems someone needs to take their own advice and maybe, just MAYBE look up the definition of "RANT" before accusing others of doing what they have just done.

I'm still continue to be appalled by the LNS rules for publishing LTE's.

I remember writing a letter back in the 90's about school uniforms and was given the 3rd degree about my identity, address, phone number, and then told my letter might not get published because it was too controversial!

And then they publish this trash and other equally ridiculous letters indiscriminately. What a shame.

Actually, yes. I'm grateful I'm not starving and living hand to mouth like we were in the 80's under the great communicator.

We have a home that we can afford. Stable income. Low interest rates (remember buying a home in the 80's meant 12-15% interest on your mortgage? - you should unless you have a VERY selective memory). My kids got good educations and have great jobs.

    So again - yes!

Considering that this letter was printed on the Op/Ed pages of the News-Sentinel (“Op” indicating “opinion”) I fail to see where Mr. Weaver violated any of the Rules of Conduct.

However, those rules are not posted for those who write letters to the editor; no, they’re specifically directed at those of us who wish to post comments either in response to the letter or each other’s posts. We’re still talking about opinions of course.

Nevertheless, I’m interested to understand where the author violated any of those rules.

It's funny, the LNS will remove comments that violate any of the 8 Rules of conduct, yet they print a LTE that violates Rule 4 & 5. Go figure

Yes, Megan Kelly is good. Definitely the best Fox has to offer.

Oh, and then I count 7 lies in the 2nd paragraph. 2 lies and 1 obfuscation in the third (in one sentence, no less... great work)

As far as the last paragrah...

Big fan of Megan Kelly, eh Ed?

It seems that your post and Michael Weaver's letter are competing for most non-factual information found in one spot!

Despite Megan Kelly being an educated woman, she has sold her soul to Roger Aisles and Rupert Murdoch in return for a big fat salary for spreading misinformation and lies that she calls "news."

You have very deftly demonstrated that you have Internet access and use it. Far more dangerous than cable news, i.e., FOX News, is the Internet because many people who use it think everything on it is real.

Probably one of the most singularly ignorant, jaded letters I have ever read in our paper. There is enough here to prompt the most ardent Tea Partier to repent, renounce and take responsibility for what they have wrought. Then again, maybe not. OMG!

Mike, You seem to know a lot about Fox News, evidently you watch it often, especially at 9:PM to watch the Kelly report, if you don`t give it a try it, you will like it.

Lets start about 8-9 years ago when Barry was Barry. When he graduated high school, he went to college, never knew who paid for it. For some unknown reason he became a junior senator from Illinois, while he was a senator he never submitted a bill or voted on one. Since he had a way with words he was asked to run for President, with the backing of the left wing, along with various parties he raised enough to run, one group was called ACORN, if your not fimilar with them, people from the party went into poor neighoods to collect signitures, for their efforts they were paid, and never voted. And we cannot forget the Rev. Wright

President Bush went after Saddam as retaliation for 911, Saddam used gas to poison thousands of his own people, and sent it to Syria before inspectors came to Iraq.

Lets talk debt, when Barry came into office, the debt was $10 trillion, now going on 6 years the debt has increased to $17 trillion and projected to be $20 trillion when Barry leaves office. Now he and his group can`t get Barrycare right. At least Fox has two wings, where as the Demos only have a left wing and continue to fly around circles. Get off CNN.

It amazes me how people can go from reading someones simple LTE to going on a rant about what they think a person might be made of or what they think a person does for having a certain opinion. That just shows pure ignorance. Just because someone does not like Obama doesn't mean they liked BUSH. I can't stand Obama, but I didn't like Bush either. So what does that say about me? What type of nonsense can you construe from that? I also do not have cable, nor do I watch any other news channel. So what else does that say about me? How is it that I dislike Obama when I don't watch Fox or any other news station? Where must I get crazy information to make me think that Obama is a socialist that is ruining America? BECAUSE HE IS. History can prove so, and history can also prove what will happen to a country when someone like him is President. History also shows that socialism doesn't work, a free market economy works, and government does not make an economy prosperous. FREEDOM is what build this great country. LEGAL immigration is what build this country. Not a bunch of people whose very first action in this country was breaking the law (by coming here illegally) and are now being rewarded for it. The ignorance of so many "Americans" amazes me. Please educate yourself before going on rants to talk down on someone and to assume that you know everything about that person based off of one opinion of theirs.

    God Bless.

Mike, I have to admit you are exactly who I was writing about in my current LTE. You got it all right except for the part of him being born in Africa, his being a socialist, that people are going to die because of Obamacare, that he is going to put millions of illegals on SSI and Obamacare, and ,of course he has nothing that he could be impeached and convicted. I think there should be some kind of award for your letter. You did not get on fact correctly. I do not believe I have seen that before. You are a man among men.

Born in Africa.....not true, been proven
Socialist.....stock market set record highs last week
Spying......been going on for decades, increased under Bush....why was it ok under him?
Healthcare....while system is flawed, it will actually get more people insured, which should save lives.
People will die......ask the Iraqi's how many of their people were killed by a stupid war brought on by W.
Go back to your cave and turn on the hatred spewing from Fox and Friends
