It's hard to believe that only 10 years ago we had uncontrollable corruption at high levels of county government. I believe that a person giving service to their country should give one or two terms and then go home, go back to work like "We the People," and live under the laws and programs they have enacted.

And since they take an oath to abide by and protect the U.S. Constitution, "We the People" should be watching what they do and how they vote. If they go against their oath of office, they should be recalled or certainly not voted in for a second term.

I see where the county Board of Supervisors may be in some hot water again. They put together a Political Action Committee to promote Measure D, an initiative they placed on the November ballot that, if passed, would undo the current two-term limit and allow them to stay in office for a third term. I hope the California Fair Political Practices Commission investigates their actions. This is very troubling.

Look at Washington, D.C. and the career politicians there, and the mess they've made of our country. We don't want that to happen here.

Vote "No" on Measure D.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
